For Nintendo , it's better to launch 5 games in 9 month than launch everything in one day.
If we eliminate The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild who is also confirmed for Wii U the same day, we find ourselves wondering what we are going to play on Nintendo Switch after the purchase is done.
Let's admit you're not among Zelda fans, you will have to make do with the 1-2 Switch, Super Bomberman or I am Setsuna until the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, April 28th. The line up seems really tiny but Nintendo has issued a long press release in response to the 9th lost month. So why don't we have enough games the next March 3rd?
Nintendo explain
"Our thinking in arranging the 2017 software lineup is that it is important to continue to provide new titles regularly without long gaps. This encourages consumers to continue actively playing the system, maintains buzz, and spurs continued sales momentum for Nintendo Switch." reveal the manufacturer.Theoretically, he might think that The Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild will do the job it self, and it will be enough to keep the fans on tenter hooks till futur products.
In the first half we'll get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and ARMS then in the next half Splatoon 2 this summer and Super Mario Odyssey possibly the end of this year.
Nintendo notice also having a lot of demands from editors wishing to develop games for the console.
To remind you, there is actually more than 100 games in developement, comparing to 80 games announced the day of the presentation ( 13 rd January ).
